About the pressure switch on your air compressor

By: Cas | Posted on:

Pressure switches are found on many different types and sizes of air compressors. From the smallest reciprocating compressor, to the biggest rotary screw compressor... they know when to stop and start (or load and unload) because of the pressure switch. On new and bigger machines, the good old pressure switch is replaced by a pressure sensor. The central controller reads out the sensor and loads/unloads the compressor according to it's settings.
