Quincy 325 - no oil pressure

Quincy 325, record of change 14, circa 1977; 5HP, 20 CFM,60 gal tank:

After changing the oil, there is no oil pressure. Oil level is OK, filter screen in base is clean. Spill valve seems OK. Pump is turning with crankshaft.
Could it be the oil pump and how do I measure wear on the vanes?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Henry,

I don't have much experience with the Quincy units, but I did some 'googling' for you..

Check this page, 3rd post from above: http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=toolt&th=127723

Did you only change the oil? or did you also do some other stuff on the compressor?

Maybe the pump was or is running in an 'air bubble' after changing the oil. I don't know how it is exactly built up or anything, so I am just guessing here..

anyway, hope this was helpful and good luck with your compressor! Let me know how it works out.
