Oil in air line

Guest February 5, 2015 2 Answers
Question
I have a older Atlas Copco xas85 compressor. I purchased this unit used and found that someone had used transmission oil instead of the correct PAR oil for the compressor. The unit was completely drained and the element was changed as well as the filter. The scavenge line was cleaned and reassembled. The oil issue seems to have gotten worse. Not by much, but definitely still blowing oil. Any advice? I seem to be stumped. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rick

Compressor oil in the air line is bad on the grounds that it shows that you have a creating issue with your air compressor pump, and it additionally isn't great to have compressor oil in the carriers on the grounds that the oil that greases up the air compressor pump is not a suitable greasing up oil for other compacted air compressor, including your air devices.

Air oil separator in the tank have the same compressor replaced it a few times. Make sure you use the correct compressor oil and try not to use a blow tube (wide open for a long period of time) Seperator is in the tank make sure no pressure and remove the top of tank can;t miss it
