Oil around pump

Guest February 2, 2015 1 Answer
Question
My ingersoll-Rand T10560V1 single stage compressor has oil forming around pump for a while seems to be getting worse. I suspect it's released in air when cut out pressure is reached. Can't see where it's coming from. Recently my check valve malfunctioned I'm in process of getting new one

Hi, Inside the inlet valve there's a blow-off hole where the internal pressure is blown-off when the compressor stops. If there's oil coming out, it could be: - too high oil level - oil separator filter old, needs replacement - wrong oil, foaming of oil - too high running temperature - too many starts/stops per hour Let me know if this was helpful! Thanks, Cas
