Kaeser Compressor not revving up

I have a kaeser m121 compressor with a duetz engine to which i recently replaced the head gasket. It starts all ok, but when i press the loading button the engine slows down considerable, like struggling to keep startef and occasionaly turns off. Also i tried to increase rpm manually but engine can't rev up.
