Question
Cas, I sent you this question via "contact me". Didn't realize this Q & A was available. Cas, I am a Chem Eng working as an energy consultant for a company that filters cooling water for oil for industrial air compressors. I am working with a customer who has 3 X 100 hp air compressors that have had problems with deposition and corrosion on the water side of the oil coolers. I know that I read at some point that each deg F increase in oil temp costs a % increase in electrical use. Do you know how I can get this info? I would be happy to share information that I get from studying our clients air compressor efficiency.
