Difference between blower and compressor
Question
Please i want you to clarify, some people we say blower produce maximum of 1bar while pressure been produce by any other rotary equipment that is above 2 bar is term as compressor.

Hi Amusa,
Generally speaking, compressors deliver high pressure at low volume (like a bicycle pump), while blowers deliver low pressure at high volume (like a fan).
Big screw-type air compressors typically output about 7 to 13 bar. The compressed air pipes are relatively small, as it is high pressure, but low volume.
Big blowers typically output only 1 bar, but waayyy more volume (amount of air produced). The pipes coming from a blower are usually big, as a lot of air needs to pass through it.
Compressors are used to power machines, pneumatic cylinders and things like that.
Blowers are often used at water treatment plants, in mining (fresh air) and other specialized applications. In short: in any application that needs loooootttss of air at a low pressure.
Hope this made things clearer for you.
Cas.
