Compressor repeatedly shuts down

Hi, What kind of compressor are we talking about here? A portable one or stationary? Does it indicate any alarm, or does it just shut down? Problems like this are usually due to an electrical problem like a loose contact somewhere or a sensor that is 'dying'. Try to fiddle with the wires (be careful!) and see if you can find a loose contact or 'sensitive area' (that will produce a shutdown). To rule out bad sensors, you can try to by-pass them one by one and see if the problem is still there. Be careful not to damage the machine or yourself and only do it when you are confident you know what you are doing. Good luck!
