Atlas Copco XA190 smoke from inlet valve

Hi, Does the compressor trip on high temperature alarm? Sounds like the screw element isn't getting any oil injected (or not enough) for cooling. Or, it's simply damaged and should be overhauled. Please check oil supply to screw element: replace oil filter (did you use the correct type?) and check that oil oil-lines are clear (not blocked) It could also be that the element has seized, how old is it? How many running hours? Good luck!
