Air continuously blows out of pressure switch

Is it possible that the cheap replacement switch on our portable Emglo has a leak in the diaphragm? If the check valve is bad it is a $70 replacement cost but the only moving parts are a spring and plastic button which apparently cannot be replaced. Can you help? I appreciate the opportunity to get help from an expert. Thank you. John
