Ingersoll Rand

Ingersoll Rand rotary screw compressor ranges, model guides and practical advice for buying and troubleshooting.

Ingersoll Rand’s stationary oil-flooded screw lineup includes UP6, UP6S, RSa and RS families. The model size is a useful starting point, but the remaining letters identify important differences in drive control and package. RSa and RS are separate designations, even where their model numbers overlap.

In the current RS nomenclature, i identifies fixed speed and n identifies variable speed; ie and ne identify the corresponding premium versions. TAS means Total Air System and includes integrated air treatment. These choices can change airflow, installation requirements and service information.

If you already own a machine, use the full nameplate code and serial number when looking for a manual or discussing a fault. If you are buying, compare delivered airflow at your required pressure and ask what air treatment is included.
