The G family is Atlas Copco’s compact fixed-speed screw range. It includes smaller G 2–7 machines and the G 7L–15 and G 15L–22 groups. The L in G 7L or G 15L is part of the model designation; G 15 and G 15L should not be treated as the same machine.
A screw compressor makes most sense where there is regular air demand. For occasional tool use, compare the duty cycle, air receiver and total running cost with a piston compressor before choosing by motor size alone.
