I have a compressor motor that spins at 1725 rpm's and a two cylinder single stage

pump that turns at 1200 rpm's, are they compatible? Does pulley diameter affect these? Can I compensate for the difference by using a certain size pulley on the motor to help the situation? Thanks DD
