What do you use the compressed air for?

First, you need to find out some extra information about what kind of air compressor you really need. Only "30 to 50" bar is not enough.

You need to know the required air flow / capacity of the compressor. The pressure (bars) is only half of what the compressor can do, it's the "how strong", the other half is "how much". How many liters per second or cibic meters per hour (m3/hr) can it supply?

Also, will the compressor run 24/7, or do you only use the compressed air once in a while?

Are there any other special requirements, like oil-free, sound or vibration, etc.?

Most major compressor manufacturers have a 30 - 50 bar compressor in their range.

These are almost always of the reciprocating piston type. Mostly with two stages (stage one, the first cylinder, compressed the air to medium level, while the second stage, cylinder two, compressor it further to the end pressure of 30 - 50 bar).

Those compressors are often used for PET bottle blowing (typically at 40 bar) or for switching high-voltage switches. They are also used for example for starting air for large marine diesel engines.
