Hi Chief,

This usually happens when one of the big contactors (start-delta starters) are not functioning.

If there is any malfunction like a temperature alarm, or motor overload, the compressor will indicate this. But when one of the main contactors is not 'coming in', the motor will simply not start, and the controller will not 'know' this.

Also, on some models, the main electrical motor and the fan motor are on the same fuse, separate from all other electrical stuff. Maybe the fuse is blown.

If you have a year or serial number I might be able to help more as there are many types of GA22 through the years.

Good luck and love to hear if you are able to fix it or need more help.

Here is some more information about the compressor:

Compressor model 2006 Serial no API292333 Controller model Elektronikon II Serial no 12100602431

Magnetic contactor function is ok when we press by hand .Fuse are not blown .

The main thing is , the signal is not come to magnetic contactor from the controller, computer box .

I dont know how to check the output signal or voltage from the controller .

Thanks for your help sir ,

Hi Hein,

Thanks for the extra info.

I have been looking for a readable electrical diagram in my files. but they are all a bit blurry and hard to read. You should also have one in your owners manual.

Can you check the following: There are 3 big contactors for star-delta starting: -K21 (main) -K22 (star) -K23 (delta)

When pressing start, do any of them get powered? Which one works and which one doesn't?

Normally K21 and K22 should first be energized, and after a while, K22 should switch off and K23 should get energized (star-delta starting). Please check, se we can maybe isolate the problem to 1 contactor.

Check image number 2, this is where the contactors get their control voltage from.

They get their power from connector 2X10 on the Electronicon II controller. Unfortunately, I cannot read which pin numbers.

But, they are not powered directly from the ouput. The control power goes first through the smaller contacts of K21, K22 and K23, to make sure that the star and delta contactor can never be energized at the same time (this would result in a big short circuit).

You can check the signals with a simple volt-meter. Try measuring the voltage on the contactors (a1 and a2 connections).

You can also measure the voltage between earth/zero and the 2x10 connector output. It should be 12 volt.

Hope this is enough to fix the problem. When I find a better schematic of the Electronicon II controller I will post it here..

Good luck!
