Dear Sir/madam

We have two GA15 FF compressors one working and the other standby. One of the compressors (Compressor 2) is running smoothly while the other has a problem that trips the motor.  We have taken the following measurements on both compressors as detailed hereunder:

Atlas Copco rotary screw Compressor: GA15 FF 7.5CE 400 FM

Data

Compressor 1 (having problems)

Compressor 2

(working smoothly)

These remarks are valid only for compressor 1

§ Motor switches off after running for sometime

§ Oil  finds its way into the air filter

§ Temperature of the oil air separation thank is very high

N.B:  1. These two compressors are installed side by side; one working and the other standby

  1.       Both are getting power from the same line

  2.         Both compressors have two independent breakers

  3.         Compressor 1 run only for 5 hours when the problem started to transpire

Please advise on how we should go about resolving the problem?

Looking forward to your prompt action,

With kind regards,

Tadesse Woldeyes
