Hi,

Please check your inlet valve.

The inlet valve controls the loading and unloading of your compressor.

Basically, it opens when compressed air needs to be produced, and closes when the upper pressure limit is reached.

Besides above function, the inlet valve has a built-in check valve mechanism. That means, it's designed so only air can be sucked it, but when it air flows backwards (from compressor back out through the inlet filter), it closes.

Because at shutdown, the pressure that is built-up inside the compressor tries to escape. The checkvalve mechanism inside the inlet valve prevents the air from flowing back out of the inlet filter.

In your case, it looks like the inlet valve stays open, or closes too slow.

This allows the air to flow backwards and it takes oil and oil vapor with it, which will flow out of the inlet filter.
