Compressed air dryer problem
by Emmanuel Vegula
I have a problem,in the compressor ASD 47 fails to initialize and the problem behind is the alarm displayed "dryer alarm' i do know how to remove the alarm, can you help me?
I don't have much experience with Kaeser compressors, but it seems like you are having a problem with your air dryer.
I assume your compressor has a built-in air dryer, right?
A very, very common problem with refrigerated compressed air dryers is that the internal cooling system trips on 'high pressure'. This happens when the room temperature is too hot, or when the condenser of the dryer is dirty with dust.
Once a dryer trips on 'high pressure', it needs to be reset manually. You can do this by pressing the small reset button on the overpressure alarm. You need to open the dryer for this.
See picture how this switch might look like.
If this doesn't help and your compressed air dryer is still not working, it could be something else. Maybe a refrigerant leak, or bad electrical connection somewhere.
